What to know about wedding day hair
Recently, we were so fortunate to spend some time with the lovely ladies at the Blown Away Hair Salon in Noblesville, Indiana. They invited us in on a Sunday to talk about what brides need to know for their wedding hair, and to show us a beautiful updo.
What is the number one tools that a bride can give you to help make your job easier?
The number one tool a bride can give us to help make our job easier is pictures! Pictures make it simpler to visualize what the bride wants to ensure we are on the same page and will create the style they envision for their wedding day. I love collaborating with brides to create their perfect hairstyle!
What kind of prep should a bride do the night before the big day?
The best thing a bride can do to prep her hair for her wedding day is to wash and dry her hair the day or night before! Sometimes brides want a specific style for their rehearsal dinner the evening before the wedding, so we always come up with a personalized plan at her hair trial.
What is the average amount of time that a bride should plan for her and her bridesmaids to get their updo completed?
On average it takes about 1.5 hrs for hair and makeup, but that depends on the complexity of the hair style, type of hair, and amount of hair the bride has.
Why should a bride use a professional hairstylist?
I would suggest brides use a professional hairstylist because of experience and knowledge! We take time to research trends, practice, and perfect our art on many different hair types! We love using our skills to help brides look and feel their best for their wedding day!
What updo or hair styles do you see trending in 2019?!
For 2019 we will still be seeing braids and hair accessories in bridal styles! The perfectly imperfect updos will also be popular for the the more rustic, boho, or beach themed weddings. The classic and more structured styles with lots of volume and softness will also be trending for the more traditional brides!
