Featured Couple: Rebecca & Brandon

We have the pleasure of working with Rebecca & Brandon on their wedding! They took some time to tell us about their love story.

How did you meet?

When we were younger, around 7 or 8, we both did competitive gymnastics. He was on a team with my brother and I was on a team with his sister. After 2 years we all went our own ways. I stayed at the gym competing in gymnastics as well as coaching and then one day before our senior year of high school he came back to coach. Then several months later, we were both at work early and ended up talking for 35 minutes before work.

Tell us about your first date. Where did you go?

For our first date we went and got ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery, my favorite. After talking and eating ice cream we went to see a movie (but its been so long neither of us can remember what movie we saw!).

Everyone loves a proposal story. How Did he propose to you?

I was visiting him in NC after getting back from a 6 week study abroad. It was my last night there and we decided to go out to eat with his sister and brother in- law at a nice sea food restaurant on the water. We were taking pictures on the cute little dock they have and being goofy when he all of a sudden looked at me very seriously and he dropped down to one knee and proposed! I of course said yes and we celebrated with a nice sea food dinner. 

What are you looking forward to most about your wedding?

We are very excited to start out lives together after being apart for 4 years and knowing that we will get to spend the day with our family and friends celebrating that is very exciting.

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

We are going to Gatlinburg, TN and staying in a cabin with an amazing view of the Smoky Mountains. We plan to do some hiking and exploring of Gatlinburg.
